We have a vision for this film.

We want this film to be seen by every future nurse in America and beyond.

We need funding to hire a consultant to get this released into the educational market, to secure all legal requirements and to create supplemental educational materials. Once we have released this into medical schools we will then develop and online offering for continuing education.

Use the button below to contribute to this goal through Ethical Narrative, a for-profit business on a mission to serve our communities through art.

To make your donation tax-deductable, please email hello@autumnpayne.com to arrange payment through our fiscal sponsor, Middleway Health Foundation.

Loving Lionheart is a film about motherhood, love and holding space for each other’s story.

Judah was born with half a heart. In order to survive with his complex congenital heart defects, he had 3 open heart surgeries in the first 4 years of his life, with a fourth planned for January of 2021. In this film, Judah's mother, Heather Morgan, reads her personal journals, revealing the inner experience of parenting a medically fragile child and what it means to love when a future is not guaranteed. This is a film in the making with the goal of raising awareness for the need for more funding of CHD research. In the United States, twice as many children die of CHD than of all childhood cancers combined, yet it receives one fifth the amount of funding. CHD research as greatly contributed to preventing deaths and increasing quality of life for the 40,000 babies born each year with this condition.

“Before there was you, somewhere in a journal of my left-handed scribble, I dreamed of you -

A little boy, blond curls and rolled up jeans running in the sand.”

Heather - Judah’s mother
